Ephesians Study Day 22 Today we continue with Chapter 6 with these words: Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power. Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. The wiles of the devil. Often, we’re tempted to think that “the devil” or Satan is an old concept, but that’s not true at all. The reality of evil is very present in our world today, not just in demon possession (though that’s also very real) but also in terms of demon seduction – being seduced to do and say and think things that we know we shouldn’t. It’s very much of a reality, and we need the whole armor of God to withstand those things. We’ll talk about the armor of God tomorrow, but for today, let’s talk about the challenge of being a faithful Christian in a world that can, at times, be very evil.  Ephesians Study Day 11 Today we have before us Paul's wonderful prayer for the Ephesian believers, rounding out Chapter 3.  Tomorrow we'll look at what happened to the church of Ephesus!  But for now, just let these wonderful words roll over you with the height and depth and width of God's love for you.  Here is how Paul concludes Chapter 3: For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name. I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love.
